3D Areola Restoration & Breast Scar Camouflage
Medical tattooing allows the same technology and similar techniques used in permanent makeup to re-create the appearance of the natural breast areola.
When the reconstructive surgical process is complete, there is a breast mound, often with a surgically created nipple, but there is no color as is found in a natural breast areola/nipple complex. Using the patient’s skin tones as a guide for color selection and careful measurements to ensure the correct size and symmetry of the areolas, artistry in shading and highlighting creates an amazingly realistic areola. 3-Dimensional shading can actually create the illusion of a protruding nipple, thus alleviating the necessity of additional surgery to create the nipple bud.
A unilateral mastectomy means one breast has been reconstructed and the opposing breast may have an intact areola nipple. We match the 3D tattooed areola to the natural color. In some cases, nipple-sparing surgery has left all or part of the natural nipple and areola yet with asymmetry and visible scarring. We can custom blend colors to add to the existing area to perfect the shape and hide scarring.

Although we have baseline fees for our areola tattooing procedures, specialty services such as these are on a case-by-case basis and procedure pricing is finalized during your personalized consultation.
Compassionate Pricing for breast cancer survivors with no insurance options
